Perhaps these bases are for the time when iranian sepah will attack Bahrain. After all Iranian government officials so many times told us that it is territory of Iran that Bahrainis can be trully scared and perhaps they want some guarantee against imperialism of iranian government |

The "Foreign Monsters under the bed" ploy is the oldest trick in the book.
For 8 years they branded every dissenter as an agent of Bush, then turned around and blamed the recent unrest on England after Obama replaced their favorite boogeyman! This is the get-out-of-jail card all fascists play when they encounter resistance from the people. In the case of the Islamic Republic, they've played this hand for 30 years and will continue to do so even if Obama ordered a complete withdrawal of all US troops tomorrow. They'll just find a different "enemy" to worry about. |

Propaganda picture ha?
Here is the truth In the Middle East excludng the Iraq and Afghanistan war theaters there are 6,000 US military personnel, 3,432 of whom are in Qatar and 1,496 in Bahrain. The rest are airfields and missile defense infrastructures, sure there are military personal in Saudi and Kuwait but there are mostly on training missions If anything it is not the military installations any county should worry about, the might is in the aircraft carriers and the missile systems that are easily deployable and mobile |
