Just wondering could the leaked tapes yesterday from 18th Tir 10 years ago, be linked to this? Because Mousavi is heard on tape 3 or 4?

If they did leak it, it would be because they know they are cornered like rats and that Mousavi will win easily when the new election is held and that the current fake president will be consigned to history along with his religious supporters.

I agree entirely. I think they probably did leak it, in a last ditch attempt to discredit Mousavi, because as you say they are cornered like rats, and have nowhere to go.

As I said somewhere before, I think they have thrown everything they can at the people, and they have no other weapons - they have tried extreme fear & to terrorize the people - but still the protests continue (in whatever form), and march on toward freedom. So now they have to use the dirty tricks. But someone should tell them that is not going to work either. There can only be one outcome of this.

Yes, and another sign that they are cornered like rats, is that one section of the army has now come out and said that the soldiers are prepared to die to stop the UNARMED protestors and bring peace/control back to the streets (or similar words).
This means they are expecting very soon:

(a) A threat from another section of the Iranian army, or
(b) An intolerable threat from powerful politicians and clerics
(c) A threat from the people - once they start disarming the bullies, torturers, bash-artists and murderers.

Mousavi's facebook page just announced that Rafsanjani will be leading Friday prayers.

This has to be good news, right? Google translates the caption as, "Remarkable eye to all friends who have a million march and rally" which I interpret as, "We will have a million-strong rally." Can anyone translate what's on the rest of the poster?

The way I see it, it could be either really good news (he's going to give some kind of anti-regime speech and rally people maybe even revealing what he's been up to), really bad news (as in he's siding with the regime and will condemn the protests or says nothing specific, but decides to act as if everything is back to normal.), or no news and he isn't going to say anything about it and is going to keep stalling.

Also it's kind of early for such an announcement isn't it? It seems to me that there's plenty of time for him to change his mind. Also it might be a trick by the government to get more people to go...which might be a mistake on their part.
