Default Another report notes rich opportunities for irony on Revolution Day

Iran opposition urges protests on Revolution day | ajc.com

EXCERPT:

The barrage of opposition Web postings picked up steam Monday with some drawing parallels between the current showdowns against Iran's Islamic leaders and the 1979 groundswell that toppled the Western-backed monarchy.

One video featured patriotic music with scenes from 1979 and the demonstrations that began with claims of vote-rigging in last June's presidential election.

"Countrymen, rise up," read one message by the opposition blog Balatarin.com. "Victory is near."

From Yours Truely:

DON'T FORGET "COUP ANNIVERSARY DAY" (June 12th)

MY GUARANTEE: Assuming the regime lasts that long, it will have alienated and enraged more people than ever.

MY QUESTIONS:

1. How will the public respond when a year passes with the prospect of more of the same?

2. How many conservatives will balk at the same prospect especially if the regime uses the same brutal tactics?

3. For how many subsquent years can the regime, the Iranian people and the economy endure beatings, death squad murders, arbitrary arrests, etc. on Ashura, on Revolution Day and on Coup Anniversary Day?

4. How long will the regime be able to find the forces needed for oppress people, especially as family and close friends of soldiers become Khamenei's victims.

5. If the regime admitted election rigging today, how many would trust it to turn out for a new election, especially with no other reforms?

This is a regime with no future. It has committed too many ugly crimes to ever regain people's trust.

On what day will it vanish? How much blood will it spill in the meantime? Why can't the Supreme Billionaire leave now and save Iranians so much trouble and suffering?

If the hated Scumbag fails to leave while he can, both he and his son Mojtaba (Little Caligula) deserve double punishment for what they will have inflicted on the people in the interim?

Imagine: All this suffering solely to preserve stolen wealth and mass estates!
