Default IRC is unuseable

Every time I have tried to use it I get kicked.

It seems to be run by a few kids that play games
on it and talk nonsense,

They seem to think its some kind of toy for ego expression.

I didn't expect it to be professional,
but I guess I did expect to find them serious.
and it usable.

They must be some real uber hackers.
Or super volunteers, cause it seems to be a play room,
maybe a reward for their hard work.

After thought:
The title is Iran,
Iranians are going to be reluctant to use
it when they see all the abuse.
My English and spelling has been corrected there.
I have very tough skin, but I would like to use it.
Or they have just been kicked
for using poor english.

Iranians come here as a resource,
and I have seen iranians use the IRC channel
and the ops have been very helpful.
AFTER THEY DECLARED THEY WERE IRANIANS.
That seems counter productive and against
the IRC channel rules, they risk exposure
on IRC in order to get help, and say
they are Iranians not to be abused and
be taken seriously.

I have problems with that paradigm
That IRC channel has so much potential.
100 to 200 lurkers.
And Users are being abused.
The Iranians are under mortal attack
from their regime and we shouldn't
put them through this stress also.
I think it takes alot of courage
for an Iranian to use that IRC,
and I encourage them to do so.
We need some professional OPs
in there.

I agree with all of the above Gerald, even if I do not agree with everything you say.

I closed the window because I hate pre pubescent adolecent teens.

Default I've been banned from the IRC channel

I've been banned from the IRC channel.

Shortly after my post I was banned from IRC.

Proves my point.

The IRC server is a busy place that is under a constant barrage of troll spam and off topic messages. As a result of this, moderation becomes increasingly reflexive. People are often kickbanned at the slightest infraction. There isn't much else you can do when you have to handle so many people on a busy chat. Many of the OPs are moderating forums as well. There's just too much to deal with.

There are a couple of abusive OPs who have been reprimanded (some of them have been removed completely). The problem has been dealt with.

Now, on the subject of you getting kicked, there was probably at least a reason for it. Rather than complaining on the forums about it, I suggest that you take a look at your own ramblings on the IRC and ask yourself why you were kicked. Chances are, you irritated an OP in one way or another without realizing it, especially if you were banned. If it really concerns you that much, PM me who banned you and I will look into what you did or didn't do and see if I can get you unbanned.

Default banned

Thanks for the reply.
I tried to talk to them about the situation,
and was kicked every time.
I tried a multitude of approaches.

My final attempt was to mimic their
methods, I was colorful and abrasive.

I don't know who banned me.
I was banned after I was kicked.

This forum posting was my last resort.

Sorry for the trouble.

I've Pm you. Hope I can get back on IRC.
thanks for the response.

As you should have been.

Keep your self-serving attempts at co-opting what is a sincere attempt to help the Iranian people to yourself.

Also, you wouldn't happen to have a raspberry filled Krispy Kreme handy?

Thank god we've got a psychic here who knows what proxies have been blocked, despite the fact that NOBODY has passed out their proxies to anyone but trusted sources such as TPB and Austin Heap. I guess that the Iranian government is able to read our thoughts and intercept our IP/Ports from there. We might as well just give up now.

Despite your anonymity, I already know who you are by your attitude and pitiful insults- you were under the name of FREE_CDN_PROXY. You posted your proxy publicly in #iran- hence, it wouldn't be surprising if YOURS was blocked. After being referred to #iran.proxies, you refused to join because it didn't have as many people as #iran and bragged about media attention (which makes it even MORE likely that it was blocked, although I'm sure you were lying). We kicked you with a warning at first, but you decided to rejoin and start insulting the entire channel. So, we banned you.

The fact that you refuse to run a proxy because of a grudge against the OP that banned you shows how you don't care for the Iranians, you just want the attention.

You see, there's always a reason for a kick. Bans are always last resort and from repeated offenses. Anyone who complains about a ban in the future should talk to the OPs via PM rather than trying to bring even more attention to yourself. There are things to do, and we can't waste our time explaining to the entire community why we banned a showboating little swine. In the future, complaining about a rightful ban on the forums instead of PM will only EXTEND your bantime.

Troll carefully.
