Note, these were both acquired and shared via a new Firefox plugin called RECAP started by Ed Felten, who I personally verify as a major Mensch. If you are a PACER user, it automatically uploads anything you download to the public archive, and on top of that, puts a link (an R) next to any document you're considering downloading, letting you know someone else has already downloaded that dox.

Makes it much easier to DOX before shutting TFU.

It's weird to think that all this was going on in 2000=2001 when keith henson, shy david, I and a host of visitors were picketing Gold Base to protest the deaths of 2 young women there.

We never saw any activity. When we arrived, they'd scatter like a flock of quail. I'm sure this is why the politicians who get the "Disneyland tour" never got a glimpse of any abuse. Oh, look at our boat in the desert! Innit cool?

Interesting tid-bit found at Scientology's corporate sham (repost) from the Wollersheim case:

b. Identical equitable ownership in the two entities
or the identification of the equitable owners, directors, or officers
w/ domination and control of the various entities or management of
the corporations' affairs.

Authority over CSC and its affairs was handed over
to CSI and RTC, especially David Miscavige, who controls both
corporations and all of Scientology after the death of L. Ron
Hubbard. "Sea Org" is the unincorporated association which, is the
power center -- Miscavige is its highest ranking member. (Exh. B,
p. 153819.) Miscavige is also chairman of RTC and ASI (Author
Services, Inc.).

Scientology's corporate officers and trustees are
intermingled at will.

Since nothing about Cof$ control has really changed since then...

Davie testified as a defence witness in the Ontario Snow White trial:

The defence called David Miscavige, the head of the Church of Scientology. Miscavige said that when he first saw a document outlining dirty tricks and harassment in a project called "Operation Freakout" in 1981, "I was shocked". He said that in July, 1981, when he and other top officials investigated the dirty tricks, they discovered that Scientologists in the Guardian's Office were committing crimes. The Guardian's Office was set up in 1966 by L. Ron Hubbard to gather information and deal with external matters, he said.

I guess he lost his taste for being on the stand as the head of Scientology after that. By 1997, he was acting a tad bizarre. (Crime Boss Miscavige: Bizarre Buggery Outburst) And then they pulled out all the stops against Ken Dander, who was going to involve him in the Lisa McPherson civil case, first breaking Bob Minton and using him against Dander, then settling the case (which seems to be where Marty Rathbun picked up a few black marks).

Actually, I think there is a passage which is related to the above in a CSI-submitted article published in the LA Daily Journal (in response to this great article):

In another exhibit submitted to the court by the Church, Berry also invited “applications for membership” in a club in which Mr. Miscavige and other Scientology leaders were to be “publicly [sexually assaulted] before breakfast on a daily basis.”

Whatever that is he is referring to, he sure sounds traumatized by it.

William Hart was my professor in trademark law, and he's actually a pretty decent guy when he's not representing cult leaders, for what that's worth. I don't think he ever had any idea who I was, and I sure wasn't going to tell him, but he was a great professor (and indeed often unshaven). He's not a Scientologist, and not in-house, and likely too expensive for them to use on a regular basis.
