CoS is flooding the PM's office

Just spoke with the Prime Minister's office. They are getting a lot of correspondence, but "not much from your side".

    Legion?

    1. Why is the Prime Minister delaying?
    2. Doesn't he realise that human rights abuses are happening in Australia due to Scientology right now?
    3. Why won't he support an inquiry?
    4. Doesn't he realise this urgent?
    5. Will he allow a conscience vote?
    6. etc

Please try to look less crazy than scientologists when you contact people.

Few of them know as much as you do. Adapt your speech accordingly. Focus on a few facts.

Re: CoS is flooding the PM's office

    Honestly, imagine the following scenarios:
Scenario 1: PM gets no communictions re: scientology
Scenario 2: PM gets a lot of calls, letters and e-mails begging him to investigate scientology
Scenario 3: Pm gets a lot of calls, letters, and e-mails begging him to investigate scientology, and many times more calls, e-mails, and letters begging him NOT to investigate Scientology, and insinuating that doing so would and could only be an act of malicious hatred.

Which scenario do you think will have the best chances of bringing the hammer down on the corrupt criminal organization?

edit - it's not a fucking race, we don't have to beat them. We just have to make sure our voice is included, that it's heard. Send something. Speak up. But we don't have to meet some quota.

And if by some chance scientology weasels their way out of this one, it won't be because they sent more e-mails than us. Furthermore, it wouldn't be cause for us to feel defeated - Scientology is fighting TOOTH AND NAIL for its life. It's pouring EVERYTHING into the short term. They aren't paying ANY attention right now to the long-term strategy, to their survivability, because doing so would be far too discouraging for them. They don't have any hope of surviving long as an organization; but they can put their full energy into every single crisis, every single threat of dissolution, as it arises. They're going to wear down quick, in that siege mentality. Steady as she goes, boys.

This petition is just like the Xenophon rallies.

Everybody was REALLY into it, then when the day arrived, nobody showed up. What happened Europe?

Don't fucking complain when the scilons are still around a year from now.

Re: CoS is flooding the PM's office

Just a guess, and I have no way of knowing how it actually works, but...

Scilons might not be trying to 'win' the write-in war, they might be trying to make the whole thing seem like a farce. You know all those 'internet polls' that we'd get in a pissing match over? Yeah, we'd win, but in the end, the results were entirely meaningless. The legitimacy, the validity of the poll (if it had any to begin with) was completely undermined by the race. By challenging anons to a race (rather than allowing everyone affected to simply voice their concerns), they may invalidate the whole thing and make the politicians regard the whole mess as childish and beneath them, rather than as a human rights issue of utmost importance.

Do write; but don't let that scenario play out.

Re: CoS is flooding the PM's office

I think you're misssing a sense of urgency here. To be clear about where I come from: in the US, a _written_ letter means quite a lot. Back that up with a CALL and EMAIL as well, and you're golden.

Granted, I'm not from Australia, but I took the time to praise PM Rudd and Senator Xenophon for their courage in investigating Scientology. Please, in your own words, take a few minutes to express why you do what you do. Is it really that hard?
  22. tazor Member

Re: CoS is flooding the PM's office

I'd suggest you NOT use a form letter. That would be deleted faster then all get out.

I focused on child abuse in my letter. The 2 little girls who died got a lot of coverage as well as the abortions. I think this is one of the biggest atrocities and cut people to the quick.

I kept it as short as I could.
  23. Re: CoS is flooding the PM's office

The focus is on abuses, not beliefs.

  25. Re: CoS is flooding the PM's office

I am confused by your post. Scientologists are "fucken faggots" for sending in messages to the office of the prime minister- so you call on people here to send in messages to the office of the prime minister? Wouldn't that make you a "fucken faggot" just like them?

Anyways, people should definitely contact the prime minister's office. But I see nothing wrong with scientologists doing the same. They have a right to be heard too after all.

Re: CoS is flooding the PM's office

I wonder if Parliament members have asked themselves why Scientology is so strongly objecting to an inquiry if it has nothing to hide? One would think the CoS would welcome the opportunity for a government to prove that the exes and critics are wrong and/or lying.

Re: CoS is flooding the PM's office

My 2 cents: Do it, and stick to the subject matter of the letters and the question of exemption. The scilon harpoons will attempt to distract from the issue.

    Emailed the PM:

    Dear Mr Rudd,
I appreciate the opportunity of emailing you to voice my extreme concern over the continuing abuses of Scientology.

I urge you very strongly and politely to help Senator Xenophon get approval for the investigation of Scientology in Australia.

I have had a personal experience of having been in Scientology for over 24 years and I left in the 1990s after being subjected to awful abuses over a period of years. I can vouch for the many ex members in Australia who are now speaking out about the illegal and fraudulent activities of Scientology under the false cloak of "religion".

I feel it is of the utmost urgency to get an official investigation done so that the hidden abuses may be uncovered and remedied by recourse to Australian Law.

Many thanks for your kind attention.

Re: CoS is flooding the PM's office

If they send in form letters using fake names or people who are just in their database and aren't doing it themselves, then yes they are that - and the same with anons who use form letters and multiple fake names. One letter per anon is OK though - and using an alias is OK too as long as you're clear that it's an alias.

(PS: Different poster than you repied to.)
LOL, many of us aren't allowed to protest without getting permits for it.

Re: CoS is flooding the PM's office

    Dear Mr Rudd

URGENT point, the mass communications you are recieving from Scientology's following is actually coming from only a few places, namely the same people using many email addresses to mail you many times each, your techy people can check this out very easily.

i know i'm not one of your voters, but i beg your assistance anyway. the UK division of Scientology is pretending to be Australian in order to avoid UK taxes, and we all know they're an american outfit.

Sen Xenophon wasn't telling any lies when he spoke last week, in fact he only showed the tip of the iceberg.

Scientology is like MacDonalds - the same thing exactly everywhere, and the way they con people into trying a course and use that time to get their hooks in, is disgusting. They were not convicted in France because they were doing no wrong!

Their sales division is specifically trained to spot the one person in a street who's recently been to their parents funeral or something bad, and home in on that person like vampires. The "Stress Test" only ever has one result, and is a total con job.

self help & improvement changes to required salvation, by which time they have built up a blackmail file during "auditing" (confession)

eventually they bully every last penny out of the victim and offer a place in their sea org, which nearly always means working abroad - as a method of separation from family, and that's where the real abuse starts.

Many good people from your country are trapped in their foreign bases, passport confiscated and all that which sen xenophon said starts to apply

Also, I've seen copies of documents written by L Ron Hubbard where he's laughing at your previous goverments for allowing the tax free status, he reckoned that your country would be the first one over-run by them.

if Scientology had nothing to hide, then they wouldn't be trying to fraud you, would they?

please, let's have the skeletons out of the cupboard

    yours sincerely

Re: CoS is flooding the PM's office

^^ No shit! Why would a "religion" have a problem with an inquiry? Oh yeah, that's right--it's a criminal orginization, hiding among front groups, secret work camps, an army zealots racing to protect their tax-free status as to avoid getting taken to task on vastly underpaid EMPLOYEES with no medical care, no retirement. Hiding all those deaths, break-ins, coercion, forced labor, child abuse, sexual assaults etc...

More thanks. I'm not super familiar with the Australian form of govt. and I have been too lazy to check into it more. I know that there was a thread on e-mailing Senators. Is there another for the other house? Would it matter or is this something that would be strictly controlled by the PM to bring to a vote? A lot of stuff happening with our Aussie friends down under. Just want to make sure I didn't miss anything.

I just had an email response on that note from Senator Brown (Tasmania)

They're aware of that point :)

Re: CoS is flooding the PM's office

The PM is important, because if he says yes, all the Labor senators will support.

The leader of the opposition in the lower house WOULD be important, but his party is kinda imploding a bit today (eg:Australian opposition leader survives challenge), and opposition senators are best contacted direct.

The call is for a senate inquiry, by a senator, so contacting lower house members would be (comparitively) wasted effort.
