You'll see that since co$ bought the place, the property taxes have gone from $48k to $13k.

If you then click on the "permits/cases" tab you'll see lots of 2012 permitting activity, including fire, electrical, mechanical, plumbing. my guess, but i don't know for certain, is that the prior tenant ruth chris steakhouse has now been kicked out and the "church" is making improvements so it can occupy the place.

It might be possible to catch them when they cross the border between secular WISE and religious Scientology.

Yes, keep putting info on this thread, to keep it all in one place.

Please keep in mind, that certain locales will not allow an exemption on property taxes for churches/non-profits....if the facility has been under renovation for more than a year. And with all of the "unfinished" idle orgs..... there should be plenty of fish to catch. Cities/counties are desperate for cash, so a quick note to a local editor/ or on Craigslist should be enough to get it published in the local newspaper. And lots of angry taxpayers showing up at town meetings!!!

Over at ESMB there was a conversation about the St Louis org not being tax exempt......and the org is having to pay a hefty property tax bill every year.

This kind of news makes me very happy in my pants.
