Lincoln-Douglas Debates of 1858 Running for President 2 years later, He didn't need to. The South wasn't gonna vote for him, but there were enough Northern states it didn't matter.

Re: Sharron Angle sends cease and desist letter to Harry Reid Actually, at least two: He also ran for the Republican nomination for Senate (1854, failed) and U.S. Vice President (1856, failed) (in 1842 he either retired from the Illinois state Assembly- or lost the election, but I'm guessing the former.) Lincoln lost four campaigns, two of them general elections. Sharron's stretching a bit, but not egregiously.

The mormon nearly shit their magic underwear when an inquiry was demanded into their actions in regards to proposition 8. Because if the IRS said they were a politcal group, pretty much all of salt lake city would be taxable. the IRS takes this shit srsly.
