Does anyone know what the grading/permits are for?
  8. xenubarb Member

Re: The Rain and Illegal Grading at Gold

Uh...grading? Of course, by the time the permits were filed, the grading had already commenced extensively.

Found FEMA Flood Plain maps for the affected area.
No direct link is available, uses servlets.
You are looking for Map # 06065C1480G
    Goto, http://www.msc.fema.gov/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/MapSearchResult?storeId=10001&catalogId=10001&langId=-1&panelIDs=06065C1480G$&Type=pbp&nonprinted=&unmapped=

Dink on the view map icon.
Some parts of Gold are indeed in flood plain areas. I'm not sure where they're grading though.

Has the shoulder of the road already been compromised creating an actual, not just potential, safety risk to travelers? Is there actual hard evidence of such safety hazard?

Nah, they cleaned it up after the rain.

Maybe they are going to profit on it by having mud wrestling matches?
Although this match seems a tad "cozy" for caling it wrestling

The grading has no real purpose, the permits are retroactively issued to try and make sure that the job is finished and done properly. After all you can't drive up and down a road that has a shed load of mud on it that'd be dangerous. And everyone knows that a dangerous road would have to be closed.

Re: The Rain and Illegal Grading at Gold

That would only bolster the point that the existing road is in great need of improvement.

It needs to be widened, straightened and have pedestrian/bike lanes added.

Also, it needs a central island, shoulders and a turn-out for safety's sake.

And now, apparently, some drainage/flood control issues must be addressed at the same time.

'Dear supervisors, in light of the shed load of mud pouring onto gilman springs road, I'd like it very much if the roads users were provided with a brand spanking new scrambler each so they can fully enjoy the route.'

As pointed out in the BoS 12/15 thread, calling in the ecofags may be Good Idea.

Species Profile for Pacific Pocket mouse (Perognathus longimembris pacificus)

If the animal is a "Pacific Pocket mouse (Perognathus longimembris pacificus)", then it appears that the above site and the California Fish & Game commission would be Even Better Idea for contacting someone outside of Riverside about this.

I am new to this group and I have spent the last hour or so going through all the posts on this thread.

I live in Hemet. I want to help as much as possible with this. I know someone who is a Surveyor and used to be a grader. I will talk to him to find out if there is anything else we can do. Please let me know what I can do to help and I will do my best. I have lived here for nine years and have heard many creepy stories about this place.

Don't know if it's of any importance but there is a group of scientologists that live in the apartment complex near where I work. I always wanted to stop and ask what they are doing as they are always out in front of the complex at the same time each morning, all wearing the same thing waiting to be picked up. There's always like 20 of them out there. Odd.

Welcome! It'd be cool to find out from your fiance what the situation is or should be.

As for the Scientologists, in my opinion any friendly interaction with people outside is a good thing. We've occasionally heard of people escaping because they knew a store clerk well enough to ask if they could use the phone or some such thing. So, if you don't mind meeting strangers, go for it.

First, research everything we make available about Scientology if you hadn't before. Second, protect your identity while talking to any Scientologists at your apartment complex. Finally, welcome to Anonymous. Please read: http://forums.whyweprotest.net/303-read-first/faq-frequently-asked-questions-16472/

They're probably waiting for the Bus Ride to Servitude. Most Sea Org don't own cars, too expensive. You don't want your slave labor driving off into the sunset, either. People are better controlled when they don't have their own transportation.

Without divulging your place of work, could you list the address of the Scientologists' apartment complex here?

Is it the Kirby or the Vista Gardens apartments? Or another location?

Re: The Rain and Illegal Grading at Gold

If someone can send me like a list of questions that would be great. My eyes hurt from looking through all the posts. Some of the questions I can recall I asked my friend about.

    1. Water trucks: Dust is only a concern if it's in a residential area and/or a comercial area. In rual area no one cares.
    2. Survey work can be done with out permits being pulled. You have surveyors out there so you can get permits.
    3. You can't break ground without a permit. So in regards to the Gold Base grading with out a permit is a HUGE no no! We can contact Cal Osha and I'm working on a few other.
    4. Permits can be pulled same day. Everything is who you know and how you know them.

    Hope this helps.
